Tucked away on Ridge Street just one block off the main drag, South Ridge Seafood Grill is truly a local gem. Outsiders may be wary of seafood at 9,600 feet, but not to worry, Chef Paul has everything flown in fresh daily and serves up some of the most delicable dishes in the high country. Keep your eye out for Darrell bartending nightly and hit up happy hour between 4 - 6 pm for great deals on salmon rolls and cocktail shrimp. But get there early - the bar fills up quickly on any given night.

The brainchild of some of Breckenridge's most experienced restauranteurs, Modis is the newest addition to the dining scene on Main Street. Eric Mamula, of the long-time local favorite Downstair's at Eric's, remodeled this historic building into a contemporary, modern american dining house that appeals to both a sophisticated and local crowd. Head Chef Nick hails from New Zealand and incorporates a Southeast Asian flare into many of Modis' entrees. Try the yellow fin tuna with edamame cilantro risotto cake or the pan-fried all-natural chicken breast with brie hazelnut apricot stuffing. With almost every dish under $20, you won't be disappointed.

Self-described as "American-style dining with a little Colorado flavor", Relish serves up exaclty what it sounds like: American dishes with a twist that is distinctly Colorado. With arguably the best mountain views in town and a deck that overlooks the Blue River, Relish has quickly become a local favorite. The menu changes seasonally to feature the freshest ingredients and Chef Matt Fackler and his wife visit Sonoma each year to hand-select their stellar wine selection - and it pays off. Relish received the the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2007.

For a one-of-a-kind dining experience, you can't miss the Cellar. Known for a spectacular wine selection, the Cellar specializes in wine "flights' - small samplings of three distinct yet complimentary wines with each order. Try the "bright white" flight to prime the tastebuds before you hit the Cellar's interesting tapas menu. Slightly larger than traditional tapas, you'll still need to order several of the Cellar's main courses per person. End the night with the palisade peach white chocolate bread pudding and "port wine" flight for the perfect end to a perfect meal.

Grab a quick slice for lunch for only $2.50 or settle down with a bottle of wine and some bruscetta while you watch the entire town pass by your window. Service is effecient and friendly and the value is great. One of "Giam's" enormous calzones can easily feed two or three people and their variety of other dishes never fail to impress.
