    Founded in 1961 by Allan and Sandra Jaffe, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band travels worldwide in their mission to nurture and perpetuate the art form of New Orleans Jazz.   • July 2-4: 27th Breckenridge July Art Festival 10 am – 6 pm daily

  • Jim Salestrom and Friends – Music from the Mountains: 7pm

    For all the little people with big energy, Breck hosts games and inflatables in Blue River Plaza. Kids can cool off after the parade with a good old-fashioned water fight with the Red, White & Blue Fire Department.

  • Independence Day 10K Trail Run : 7 am
    Fire up your Independence Day morning with this scenic 10k trail race, starting and ending at Carter Park. This second annual event offers some of the most scenic views in Breckenridge and finishes in time to watch the Main Street parade and partake in other festivities.
  • Fourth of July Garden Party: 9 am
    Enjoy the annual Breckenridge Heritage Alliance Garden Party while you eat delicious brunch on the Barney Ford House lawn, the quintessential spot to watch the Fourth of July parade.
  • Breckenridge July Art Festival July 2-4 (10 am-6 pm) The 26th Annual Breckenridge July Art Festival is annually ranked one of the top art shows in the United States. This year the July Art Festival is excited to announce over 100 fabulous artists from throughout the United States! This high quality festival will offer a wide range of art mediums such as painting, metal, wood, glass, ceramics, sculpture, photography and jewelry just to name a few. This show is held in the unique Main Street Station, and the adjacent Village at Breckenridge courtyards among many shops and restaurants and next to the Maggie Pond.
  • Fourth of July Parade : 10 am
    Painting the town red, white and blue, the infamous Breckenridge Fourth of July Parade starts on Firecracker 50 in BreckenridgeNorth Main Street and gallivants through town to the South end.
  • Firecracker 50 Bike Race: 10 am
    The Fifth Annual 50-Mile AMBC MTB Epic has become a largely anticipated feat surrounding this holiday. For those looking to witness a true challenge on the fourth, this cycling course begins on Main Street and climbs 12,000 vertical feet.
  • Kids’ Activities – July 4 (all day)

  • Big Bad Voodoo Daddy: 2 pm
    This seven-man group forged a massively successful fusion of classical American sounds from jazz, swing, Dixieland and big-band music. FREE concert presented by the Town of Breckenridge at the Riverwalk Center.
  • National Repertory Orchestra: 8pm
    Celebrate with the magical sounds of the NRO at the Riverwalk Center, free of charge and full of pride and patriotism. The lawn seating is free. Reserved seating tickets for indoor seating available in person on July 1, no phone or internet orders. For more information call 970.547.3100.
  • Fireworks Display: 9:30 pm
    Enjoy a sparkling display of awe-inspiring fireworks immediately following the National Repertory Orchestra, weather permitting.
