Main Street Station to host the Lighting of Breckenridge December 1

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. – November 26, 2007. Main Street Station, the Hyatt Residence Club and ResortQuest Breckenridge will once again play host to carolers, visitors and locals for the annual Lighting of Breckenridge ceremony, Saturday December 1, 2007.  The caroling procession, led by Santa and his sleigh, will begin at 5 pm on the North end of Breckenridge and will travel down Main Street making one stop in the Blue River Plaza to light the town tree.  The procession will continue to on to Main Street Station, finishing its journey at the Main Street Station Plaza stage at 5:30 pm.  Immediately following, attendees will be treated to a live musical performance by 2007 International Solid Gospel Songwriter of the Year, Kelly Donovan.

Kelly Donovan’s many accolades include:

• 2007 International Songwriter of the Year for Contemporary Christian with Solid Gospel.
• 2007 Honoree vocalist with Notre Dame University Fantasy Football League.
• 2006 Singer/Songwriter of the Year with Colorado Music Association in conjunction with their annual collaboration album featuring such guest artists as Wendy Woo and Opi Gone Bad.
• 2005 Guest vocalist at Village of Five Parks Annual Summer Concert Series in Arvada, CO.
• 2004 Guest vocalist at Keystone Winter Concert Series.

The crowd can warm up inside the Plaza Shops as The Merchants at Main Street Station will be serving drinks and snacks throughout the evening.  And, of course, Santa will be on hand to hear holiday wishes.
