Breckenridge has a popular and busy arts and culture scene. A year-round calendar of events draw crowds with concerts, art shows and other festivities. Most events take place at the Riverwalk Center, a park and amphitheater nestled in the heart of town. Theater buffs and cinephiles enjoy shows at the Backstage Theatre, Breckenridge Festival of Film and the cozy Speakeasy Moviehouse.

Established in 1981, the Breckenridge Festival of Film has been giving exposure to independent filmmakers and bringing the film arts to Breckenridge for nearly 27 years. The festival offers a week long array of seminars, retrospectives, independent films, and black-tie galas.
The Festival has hosted such guests as Alan Arkin, James Earl Jones, Robert Loggia, Marsha Mason, Sydney Pollack, Mary Steenburgen, Donald Sutherland, and more. |

Riverwalk Center
Breckenridge Music Festival brings great music to residents and visitors of Summit County. Year-round programming including the Summer Festival, featuring the Breckenridge Music Festival Orchestra, in residence each summer; Chamber music in intimate settings; Blue River Series jazz, blues and bluegrass, roots rock country and many other musical styles plus the winter series all bring a fresh take on music to the mountains.

Riverwalk Center
The NRO performs two full orchestra concerts each week in Breckenridge’s beautiful Riverwalk Center between late June and mid-August. In addition, members of the NRO take part in smaller chamber concerts during the festival, and the full orchestra plays at several other locations in the state. Winter concerts include guest performers and lively spirited performances. |

The only movie theatre in Breckenridge, The Speakeasy shows a mix of independent films and some mainstream movies. The Speakeasy shows these movies in an intimate theater just a few steps from Main Street. The Speakeasy Art Gallery displays the work of local artists, including painting, photography, sculpture, and jewelry. |

Box Office - 150 West Adams Avenue
The Riverwalk Center is a multifaceted, award-winning performing arts facility is the focal point for summer activities. The performance venue is an 774 seat, radiantly heated amphitheater covered in the summer by a tent structure. The lawn area expands capacity to 2000 people. The Riverwalk Center is the host to an array of colorful cultural affairs, including classical performances by the National Repertory Orchestra (NRO) and the Breckenridge Music Festival Orchestra (BMF), the Blue River Series, Fourth of July concerts and activities, jazz concerts, rock concerts, dance troupes, kids concert series, weddings and much, much more. |
