During July 6-10, 2011, the many well kept secrets of Breck's perfect single track, stunning views and over 1,000 miles of trails will be revealed during Breckenridge Bike Week. Breckenridge will become your own Tour de France with nightly Tour viewing parties. Visitors will be able to race or partake in all the non-competitive aspects of Breck Bike Week including high-end bike demos, led group rides, bike-in movie nights, trail building, nutrition, fitness and open space best practices lectures, clinics, bike fits and tunes, kids’ races, and more.
All Breck Bike Week activities are FREE and open to everyone.

- Live Tour de France Viewing - at the Expo each morning from 7:30 am – 9:30 am. Bring your coffee and get your TdF fix before your ride. Afternoon and evening replays will also be shown.
- Industry Demos - Bike Concierge Desk: Local experts provide visitors with ride tips, event updates, general information, maps and merchandise. Open daily from 7:30am - 4:00pm at the Expo.
- Tour de Town Trails: 10:00 a.m. One hour, guided group rides on Breck’s epic single track.
- Technical Support: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m Local bike shops offer their expertise for free at the Expo from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm the all week-long.
- Gear-up Tech Classes: 12:00a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Daily bike maintenance clinics and tech tips from noon to 1 p.m. at the Expo.
- Self-guided Loops: Several 10 to 30-mile rides that guests can explore on their own. Maps with designated routes will be available through the Concierge Desk.
- Volunteer Trail Maintenance: 9:00 a.m. 1/2 day outings to maintain and improve conditions on the Town Trails.
- Mechanic Panic: 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. See your favorite bike mechanics race against each other in this unique a decathlon style event. Alternating between common tasks like derailleur adjustment and wheel truing and wind-sprints and push up contests, we’ll see who can handle the red zone and keep their cool under pressure.
- Yoga for Bikers: 4:15 - 5:30 p.m. Increase your riding efficiency and bike handling skills through mindful yoga geared towards cyclists. Just mention "BIke Week" for an $8 drop in fee. Mat's included. For more details: www.metayogastudios.com or 970.547.9642(YOGA)
- Kick-off Party: 7:00 p.m.- 10:00 Meet the BBW sponsors and enjoy food and drink specials in celebration of Breck Bike Week. Be sure to wear your race face as you’ll have a chance to school your friends in a custom Indoor Time Trial series. (Details TBD)
- Volunteer Trail Maintenance: 9:00 a.m. 1/2 day outings to maintain and improve conditions on the Town Trails.
- Wildflower Ride: 9:00 a.m. Pedal out in search of wildflowers at their peak with the local experts. All levels of riders welcome.
- Dirt Divas Trail Maintenance: 8:30-1:00 a.m. This one is especially for the ladies. 1/2 day outing to maintain and improve conditions on the Town Trails hosted by Babes in the Backcountry.
- Bike Rodeo and Outdoor Concert: 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:30 p.m. Riverwalk Center Lawn We start the evening off with some fun kid-focused events, like bike and helmet safety checks, decoration station, obstacle course and sundae bar. Adults stay late and to take part in a three-ringed, two-wheeled circus of zaniness. A series of wacky competitions inspired by the old west and traveling carnivals especially for the “grown-ups”. Live music to follow.
- Breckenridge Cruisers Ride: 6:00 p.m. – ‘til… Calling all cruisers, klunkers and townie bikes – its time to let your bike-freak flag fly! Dress in costume and take some laps around town then roll into the Bike Rodeo and show us what you’re really made of! You’re also invited to come decorate your bike on the Riverwalk lawn between 5:00 - 6:00.
- Wildflower Ride: 9:00 a.m. Pedal out in search of wildflowers at their peak with the local experts. All levels welcome.
- Volunteer Trail Maintenance: 9:00 a.m. 1/2 day outings to maintain and improve conditions on the Town Trails.
- Women’s MTB Skills Clinic: TBD Mountain bike skills workshop designed by women, for women. Rider of all ages and skill levels are welcome.
- Shimano Youth Series: 5:30 p.m. Fun-filled races at the pump track at the Stephen C. west Ice Arena. Open to children ages 3 to 12 (helmet mandatory, and please, no training wheels).
- Poker Ride: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Hit the dirt on an all-for-fun, 20 mile marked ride highlighting the best singletrack in town. Arrival at each of the 5 designated checkpoints earns you one playing card. Bring all your cards to the after party to be eligible for cool prizes, and food and beer specials. Best poker hand wins big!
- Go Fish Ride: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Affectionately named, this is the kids’ version of the Poker Ride. Little ones and their parents will take to some kid-friendly singletrack to collect playing cards by completing tasks at several action stations staged along the way. At the end kids will play a round of Go Fish with another rider and everybody wins a prize.
- Poker Ride / Go Fish Ride AFTER PARTY: 1:00 p.m. Come and celebrate your fellow riders/gamblers. Present your number plate for free beer and specials on food. Several prizes awarded in both categories.

- Mountain Bike Ride With the Mayor: 10:00 a.m. Enjoy a scenic and informative tour of historic sites located on town trails with Breckenridge’s Mayor, John Warner and the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance. Gain perspective on preservation projects and behind the scenes advocacy.
- Road Ride: 10:00 a.m. Meet other roadies for a scenic, go-at-your-own-pace ride thoughout the area.
- Prime, Paint and Pimp your Helmet: 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Come to FUQUA for some cycling art therapy. You provide the helmet and we’ll provide the painting supplies and art consultation. Adults and kids welcome. Please RSVP by calling the Breckenridge Arts District at 970.453.3364.
