Seamlessly blending their rock and Celtic influences into a high energy, anthemic and lyrically poignant mix, the band whose lineup since 2002 includes co-founder Keith Roberts (vocals, guitar), fellow Dubliner Brendan Holmes (bass, vocals), American-born members Bob Boulding (guitar, vocals), Chas Waltz (violin, keyboards, harp, mandolin, vocals) and Dave Ingraham (drums, percussion)--jumps energetically from ballad to barn burner, documenting as they go the vibrant yet chaotic world they find themselves in. "Potcheen holds the essence of good Irish music, and package it in what they call “pirate-punk-folk-rock.” And their audience obviously agreed. Everyone from little children to their parents, middle aged and older couples and everyone in between was up and dancing by the end of their performance. For sheer mind-blowing audience interaction, these people are second to none." -denver celtic music examiner See website. |

CARA can handle traditional styles of Celtic music perfectly, while at the same time adding a nicely updated “now” sound to the music. Their female lead singers are perfectly matched to each other, and the fresh original material is unique while at the same time “stay in your mind catchy”. The band magically weaves together flute, guitar, piano, fiddle, pipes and bodhrán. See website |

So how did two Scottish and two German musicians end up playing music together? A session on the vibrant traditional music scene and a shared passion and love for traditional music was where it all started. Over several years as friends, and with that continued love and passion for the music, we have nurtured and developed a unique and exciting musical relationship. You are holding the result in your hand... see the website. |
